Bennett Jam inviting bands and volunteers to help youngster fight cancer

Organizers of the annual Bennett Jam benefit concert are inviting bands and volunteers to assist in the event to help 4-year-old Ainsley Jane Peters in her fight against leukemia.

The Jake Murphy Band is scheduled to perform and resident advisors (dorm leaders) are seeking additional bands and volunteers to help at the event. Donated items for a raffle as well as cash and checks will be accepted. Food and T-shirts will also be on sale at the event.

Every year, the resident advisors of Bennett Hall choose someone from the Stillwater community to receive the funds generated at the jam. Ainsley’s family is hoping to raise $30,000 for her treatment fund, according to its website. Her father, Chris, works for Orange Tech at OSU. Donations for Ainsley’s fund can be made at teampeters.net.and the Peters family Facebook page.
