Dance Marathon reaches fundraising goal
Tuesday, February 11, 2014
Oklahoma State University Dance Marathon students reached their goal over the weekend
of raising more than $75,000 for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
More than 1,000 students participated in the 12-hour event that incorporated dancing,
live performances, student showcases and Oklahoma Miracle kids and their families.
Chris Stockton, the executive director of OSU's Dance Marathon, attributes the fundraiser's
success to the collaborative effort by the students and faculty.
"With an outstanding team and an incredible commitment to changing lives, Dance Marathon
is now the largest philanthropy at OSU," Stockton said. "There is still so much we
can accomplish, but this year we were successful in meeting our goal and doing it
For The Kids!"
