Edgar Cruz scheduled to play free concert Friday

Cruz’s entrances audiences with the precision, speed, and complexity in which his fingers strike the strings of his guitar to create a symphony of sound unusual to just one instrument. He offers an incredible live repertoire of the greatest hits of the guitar, a classical medley and Latin favorites as well as some of his own works.
Cruz has been named Oklahoma’s Top Performing Artist and/or Acoustic Guitarist for more than 15 years by the Oklahoma Gazette. He holds a bachelor’s of music degree in guitar performance from Oklahoma City University, where he was recently honored as a distinguished alumni.
The Cool Classics series is sponsored by the Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History with assistance from the Oklahoma Arts Council. Each performance lasts about an hour.
