Oklahoma State University students perform at Varsity Revue
Monday, February 24, 2014
More than 250 talented Oklahoma State fraternity and sorority members will perform
at Varsity Revue, Feb. 27 through March 1, to raise money for United Way.
Varsity Revue is an annual OSU vocal stage performance in which students prepare choreographed
shows to raise money and awareness for a philanthropic organization in need. Varsity
Revue performances will be Feb. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m., and March 1 at 3 p.m. in the
Seretean Center Concert Hall. Varsity Revue tickets are on sale now at gogreek.okstate.edu.
The show will include seven group acts and seven individual or small group acts. At
the end of the last show, awards will be presented to the top three group acts and
the top three individual or small group acts. Performances are professionally judged
on vocals, choreography, theme, costumes and entertainment value. The audience will
also be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite acts.
Brandon Parduhn, Varsity Revue executive director, said the audience can expect a
great display of student talent and competition this year.
“The show is really just about students using their talents to raise money for a good
cause,” Parduhn said. “It’s also a great way to get the entire campus involved, like
it used to be.”
This year, a portion of the proceeds from Varsity Revue will go to support United
Way. Donations will directly help more than 25 Stillwater nonprofits.
This is the 86th year of OSU students serving others through their talents by participating
in the show. Varsity Revue is sponsored by the Oklahoma State University Office of
Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. An executive team and 35 steering members organized
and planned all aspects of Varsity Revue. For more information, contact Brandon Parduhn
