OSU Jazz Ensembles to present concert

 Featuring Swing, Blues, Ballads, Latin and Funk

The OSU Jazz Ensembles will perform in concert on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall.  The concert will feature  outstanding OSU jazz combos and big bands and is under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Loeffert, Paul Compton and Dr. Ryan Gardner.

 “This is an exciting time for OSU Jazz,” said Gardiner. “The ensembles continue to flourish playing with great enthusiasm and style. Plus, our improvisers sound fantastic.”

The concert will feature a variety of styles including swing, blues, ballads, latin and funk.  Some prominent composers include Thad Jones, Benny Golson and Hank Levy.
