OSU Symphonic Band and Concert Band to perform
The OSU Symphonic Band and Concert Band will be giving their final performances of the spring semester on Thursday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert will feature Carl Orff's epic "Carmina Burana," which is considered one of the most popular pieces of classical music repertoire, as well as music by composers Steven Bryant, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Frank Ticheli, Steve Danyew, Kenneth Alford, and David Biedenbender.
The OSU Symphonic Band is under the direction of Dr. Douglas S. Henderson and the OSU Concert Band is under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Lorenzo.
Tickets are $8 for General Admission, or $6 for Students or Senior Citizens. Tickets and are available in advance at 132 Seretean Center during business hours, and starting one hour before the performance, at the door. All proceeds benefit the OSU Department of Music.
