Philanthropic alumna returns to speak with students

Oklahoma State University alumna Alyssa Peterson will return to Stillwater Feb. 4-5
as part of the Center for Ethical Leadership’s Leaders in Residence speaker series.
Peterson is the co-founder and executive director of the Ubuntu Youth Project headquartered
in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The after-school program provides local students mentorship,
entrepreneurship and supplemental education resources.
Through the Leaders in Residence speaker series, Peterson will share her experience
of starting an organization and real world application as an ethical leader.
As a student at OSU, Peterson received the 2010 Social Entrepreneur of the Year award
and was chosen as the 2011 Student Philanthropist of the Year.
The Center for Ethical Leadership will be hosting an open forum on Feb. 5 from 6:30
p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Classroom Building 313.
