Polar Plunge set to take place at Boomer Lake
The 2014 Special Olympics Polar Plunge will be held Feb. 1 at Boomer Lake in Stillwater.
The Polar Plunge is one of the main fundraisers for Oklahoma Special Olympics. The yearly event brings OSU students and members of the Stillwater community together to raise funds for special olympians to participate in athletic competition. Groups and individuals collect pledges from family, friends, and local businesses in return for taking the cold plunge into Boomer Lake
Prizes will be awarded to the team with the largest turnout and individual who raises the most money.
The plunge begins at 11 a.m. Registration can be completed online at sook.org and on the day of the event beginning at 10:30 a.m.
