University Avenue section to close temporarily

Portion of University Avenue to close for construction

University Avenue will be temporarily closed from Hester to Washington starting Thursday, Aug. 7, at 6:30 a.m. for construction work on the Student Union parking garage. Construction crews hope to have their work completed by Sunday, Aug. 10, so the road can be reopened by midnight that evening.  If the project is not completed, plans are for the road to be reopened on Monday, Aug. 11, and Tuesday, Aug. 12, but close again Wednesday, Aug. 13, through Friday, Aug. 15.
