Vet Cetera wins public relations award
A recent edition of Vet Cetera magazine received a coveted 2014 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation from the Public Relations Society of America.
Published by the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, the 2013 edition of the magazine received the award for superior performance in the design and execution of an individual tactic within a broader public relations program.
Only 90 entries won an award of commendation in the national competition that drew 734 entries.
Dr. Jean E. Sander is dean of the center and Derinda Blakeney is coordinator of public relations and marketing.
“It is with great honor that we award the OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences with PRSA’s Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in recognition of tactical expertise in public relations,” said PRSA 2014 Chair Joe Cohen, APR. “This award recognizes PR professionals that have raised the bar for tactical expertise in the profession and have delivered significant value to the organizations they represent.”
The Bronze Anvil Award was created by PRSA in 1969 to recognized the best of the best in tactics through categories reflecting their growing scope, creativity and importance in strategic public relations. Entries are judged by teams of PRSA members, and others who have specific category expertise, across the country.
