For decades Oklahoma State University Allied Arts has brought top-notch talent to
the OSU campus. This year is no different as OSU Allied Arts has booked six eclectic,
energetic and inspirational performances to Stillwater for its 2015-2016 season.
Brandon Mitts, Arts, Culture, and Entertainment manager is extremely excited about
the upcoming season and the opportunity to further the arts movement on campus and
in the Stillwater community.
“This season will be great for our community,” said Mitts. “These performances are
relevant to students who want to broaden their horizons as well as families looking
for high-quality, affordable entertainment.”
The season kicks off Sept. 18 with the Latin American fusion group known for their
community-focused messages, Las Cafeteras. Next the legendary sleuth, Sherlock Holmes,
takes the stage on Oct. 29 in Aquila Theatre’s production of “The Adventures of Sherlock
Holmes.” Rhythmic Circus brings an upbeat, energized explosion of music, art and culture
to campus on Nov. 20 followed by an spontaneous evening of music, humor and laughter
featuring Broadway’s Next H!T Musical on Jan. 22. The season comes to a close with
two iconic folk musicians, Blind Boy Paxton and Frank Fairfield on Feb. 12 followed
by the cross-cultural community art experience of ETHEL accompanied by GRAMMY Award-winning
Native American flute player, Robert Mirabal, on April 8.
All Allied Arts performances are held at 8 p.m. in the OSU Seretean Center Concert
Hall located at the intersection of Morrill and Knoblock. Season tickets are currently
