Invitation to “Messiah” rehearsals starting Sunday

OSU faculty and staff as well as singers from Stillwater and the surrounding area are invited to join the Oklahoma State University Concert Chorale and Orchestra for four rehearsals in preparation for the annual presentation of Handel’s “Messiah” in the School of Visual and Performing Arts.
All rehearsals are scheduled for the Seretean Center Concert Hall and start this Sunday, Oct. 11, from 3 – 5 p.m. Additional rehearsal dates include Sunday, Oct. 25, from 3 – 5 p.m.; Monday, Nov. 9, from 8 – 9:15 p.m., with a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 7 – 9:15 p.m.
There will be two performances of “Messiah,” which are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 22, at 2:30 p.m., both in the Seretean Center Concert Hall.
Singers are responsible for bringing their own vocal score to rehearsals and Watkins Shaw is preferred and available from Amazon.com.
