OSU Alumni Association inducting four into the OSU Hall of Fame

The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association is adding four more members to the prestigious OSU Hall of Fame.

Bryan Close, Frederick F. Drummond, John D. Groendyke and Ramona Ware Emmons Paul will be inducted at a ceremony Friday, Feb. 13, at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. 

Induction into the OSU Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by Oklahoma State University. It recognizes alumni and former students with outstanding lifetime achievements in society and professional life. 

Bryan Close, of Tulsa, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration. He currently serves as the president of CloseBend, Inc., a manufacturer of welding fittings.

Frederick F. Drummond, of Pawhuska, graduated from Oklahoma A&M College in 1953 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He currently handles operations of the Fred G. Drummond Family Ranches.

John D. Groendyke, of Enid, graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He currently serves as the CEO and chairman of Groendyke Transport, Inc., the fifth-largest motor carrier of bulk commodities serving the continental United States, Canada and Mexico. 

Ramona Ware Emmons Paul, of Edmond, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in family relations and child development in 1958 and a master’s degree in child and family development in 1959. She is the former assistant state superintendent at the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Paul passed away June 30, 2013.
