OSU recognized as a “Best College Value” for 2016

Oklahoma State University has again been ranked among the top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges for providing a quality education at an affordable price, according to a report by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. OSU has made the top 100 list 13 times since 2000.

“We are especially proud to enter our 125th year of service ranked nationally for our value,” said OSU President Burns Hargis. “Our repeated appearance in this annual survey of financial and educational factors is a testament to the consistent value we provide.”

The report ranked OSU among the top 100 public colleges based on a number of criteria including its admission rate, student-faculty ratio, the percentage of students who return their sophomore year, financial aid availability, low average student debt at graduation, and overall great value The top schools are chosen from an initial pool of more than 1,200 colleges nationwide.

“We applaud this year’s top 100 schools for their efforts to maintain academic standards while meeting the financial needs of their students,” said Janet Bodnar, editor of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
