Paralegal fall classes available through OSU Correspondence Education

Wednesday, August 19, 2015

Graduates of the Paralegal Course are singing high praise for the program offered by Oklahoma State University’s Correspondence Education and the Center for Legal Studies. Online classes begin August 24 and registration is now open at www.legalstudies.com

“Students mention being surprised by how the internet class offers a feeling of closeness and attention that a LIVE course can provide,” said Evelyn Ferchau, OSU Correspondence Education manager. “Awarded top honors, the user-friendly structure also allows Pre-Paras the study-freedom they need to pair their already busy lifestyles with their continuing education goals.”

Other positives mentioned were:  the knowledgeable instructors, the efficiency of the course and the tuition price.

Students who have become certified through the CLS programs have job offers in a variety of fields, Ferchau said.

These include in real estate; in judicial roles working directly for judges and public defenders; in government agencies—such as Obamacare and the Central Intelligence Agency, even in the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and in the nursing field—focusing on medical insurance, medical practices and hospital procedures. Students also find jobs in thousands of large corporations as well as in the ever-growing home health care industry.

“Students are working for non-profits, international law firms, small businesses and boutique law firms,” she said. "GO’s (non-government organizations) such as The Red Cross, Save the Children and other environmental and educational causes find CLS graduates especially useful. Graduates are making a median of 46K/annual salary. Their career experiences encompass being a strong supportive figure—maintaining files, preparing affidavits, creating documents, writing contracts, assisting with depositions and interviews while offering a variety of legal assistance in specified fields.”
