Bow Wow Film Festival comes to Oklahoma State
Wednesday, September 28, 2016
The Bow Wow Film Festival, featuring some of the year’s best pooch-themed short films, is coming to the Oklahoma State University Student Union Theater on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. The festival travels the country showing short films about dogs to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare and rescue groups.
All proceeds from the local festival will benefit Pete’s Pet Posse, OSU’s pet therapy program established in fall 2013. Members of Pete’s Pet Posse will be in attendance to greet audience members before the show and during intermission.
First Cowgirl Ann Hargis, whose dog Scruff is a member of Pete Pet’s Posse, hopes many people will attend this event and celebrate what the therapy dogs bring to OSU.
“This national traveling film festival celebrates the love of dogs and all they bring to our lives,” Hargis said. “Pete’s Pet Posse has its own film included in the festival, which is a great way to showcase the pet therapy program at Oklahoma State.”
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and $5 for OSU students. To purchase tickets online, visit https://www.ticketriver.com/event/20816;jsessionid=63472B6237B57CED9F2DD6629EB58842
