Oklahoma State University has awarded 10 students Free Enterprise scholarships for excelling in their coursework, furthering their education in free enterprise and actively participating in the Free Enterprise Society.
The society, which is sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise, provides the OSU community with speakers, faculty-student dinner/discussion groups, networking events, field trips and other educational activities.
Chartered in February 2015 by President Burns Hargis and the Board of Regents, the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise focuses on teaching and research on principled entrepreneurship, regulation, markets, public policy and the role of business in a free society. It is not a traditional academic department, but a university-wide, multi-disciplinary institute housed in the Provost’s Office.
