It's a Polymer Life

The College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and OSU Institutional Diversity hosted It’s a Polymer Life June 12-17 for select high-school students. This weeklong residential program introduced students to different science aspects through fun and creative hands-on experiments. In addition to learning about the science of polymers and baking in everyday life, students had the opportunity to conduct their own experiments with a team.It’s a Polymer Life also prepared students for college by teaching them about the prerequisites required for success. The students applied to the program by writing a short essay about math and science and filling out an application. The program is funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and is free of admission.Instructors for the It’s a Polymer Life program were Toby Nelson, Patricia Rayas-Duarte, Kelly Wardlaw and Patricia McClain.
