Oklahoma State University’s North Dining Facility is celebrating its grand opening this week (Nov. 7-11), and University Dining Services is offering big discounts, giveaways, and prizes.

“So much hard work went into this beautiful new facility for the students, staff and faculty and we wanted to introduce it to campus in a special way,” said Nicholas Johnson, University Dining Services marketing coordinator.  “We have fun things planned all week, including prizes and giveaways ranging from free food to a portable tailgating grill, bikes, skateboards and more.”

Each day of the week leading up to the grand opening ceremony will include a special promotion. On Monday, Nov. 7, Northern Oklahoma College students, staff and faculty will receive 25 percent off their meal purchases. The Greek community will receive 25 percent off on Tuesday, and OSU faculty and staff will receive 25 percent off meal purchases on Wednesday. Throughout the week there will be prize drawings and giveaways leading up to the special event on Thursday, the official ribbon cutting.

The ribbon cutting will take place Thursday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. with remarks from President Burns Hargis. The first 500 students will receive a commemorative color-changing cup, which will also provide them with free fountain drinks at the North Dining Facility for the remainder of the semester.

The North Dining Facility is located near the new University Commons residential area. It features seven distinctive dining choices, with a focus on healthy, fresh options. The facility’s new restaurants include B&B, Co., Dash, Noodle U, Road Trip, The Carvery, The Natural and Zest. The mission of the new facility is to provide indulgent food options while supporting the university’s standard of being America’s Healthiest Campus.

University Dining Services offers 32 dining options on campus, providing the OSU community with a wide variety of quality dining experiences, as well as educating customers about dining choices, nutrition and sustainability. For more information about UDS, visit dining.okstate.edu.
