Students Walking on Campus

The OSU Student Wellness Council is inviting interested students to attend its first meeting this semester, set for Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at 156 University Health Services.  The council, founded last year, works to build a student body that focuses on student involvement in America’s Healthiest Campus initiatives.

“Students don’t have to be knowledgeable about health,” Kari Pratt, OSU health services representative, said. “They don’t have to be a part of a health program. The council is open to all students on campus and we definitely want that diversity.”

The goal of the council is to create a student-led body that represents the different groups and organizations on campus that contribute to wellness. Over the last year, the council has been focused on establishing a strong foundation and expanding its membership.

A council member’s term lasts for two semesters but members are encouraged to remain involved. People that are passionate about health and wellness are encouraged to apply.
