Stillwater’s Winter Wonderland welcomes you to join in the fun

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

There’s plenty of joy to go around at Stillwater’s Winter Wonderland this holiday season with fun activities for the whole family, including ice-skating, carriage rides, Santa’s workshop and more downtown, at 224 W. 9th Ave., through Jan. 7, 2018.

Cristy Morrison, CEO of Visit Stillwater, works with her team to provide outstanding events and encourages residents and visitors alike to make the Winter Wonderland a holiday tradition for many years to come.

“We’re going to concentrate our efforts on Stillwater’s only 39-day event so that we can continue to increase its success annually,” Morrison said.

Several qualified organizations have been hired to help run wonderland. Each attraction has its own management, including the ice rink, food truck area, carriage rides and reindeer visits.

“We’re working with people who have an enormous amount of experience in each of our areas, and TV-31 is coordinating Santa’s Workshop, ” Morrison said. “We have great people partnering with us.”

The event is open to people of all ages, and Morrison encourages everyone to book private parties at the ice rink.

“We’ve had local businesses and restaurants rent it for a couple hours, and it would be a perfect opportunity for sororities, fraternities, housing groups and clubs on campus to have their private parties while the attractions are here,” Morrison said.

Ice rink season passes are available for purchase of $75 at the Visit Stillwater offices located at 2617 W. 6th Ave. or at the rink. Stillwater’s Winter Wonderland also offers overnight packages and group ticket discounts.
