Dew to helm Office of Multicultural Affairs; Wilson promoted to assistant vice president for Institutional Diversity

Dr. Precious Elmore-Sanders, OSU associate vice president for institutional diversity and director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), has transitioned from the university. Dr. Elmore-Sanders served as director of OMA and in executive-level roles at OSU for over 10 years.
“She will be missed, and we sincerely wish Dr. Elmore-Sanders all the best in her
future endeavors,” said Dr. Jason F. Kirksey, vice president for Institutional Diversity
and chief diversity officer at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Jovette Dew has been named the new director of the OSU Office of Multicultural Affairs. She has served as assistant vice president for institutional diversity since 2017, and director of diversity academic support since 2008. Dr. Dew returned to OSU, where she earned all three of her degrees, after an engineering career. In 2018, she earned the Marlene Strathe Distinguished Educational Leadership Award.
Dr. Clyde C. Wilson, Jr. has been promoted to assistant vice president for institutional diversity and director of TRIO and Sponsored Research programs. He has served as director of the OSU McNair Scholars Program since 2018, and will continue in this role within his elevated position in the division.
Earlier this year, Wilson was selected as the OSU Center for Ethical Leadership’s #LeadOrange Leader of the Year Award recipient for advancing positive social change at the university. Prior to coming to OSU, Wilson served as assistant vice president for student affairs at Bethune Cookman University in Florida.
