At the inaugural Cowboy Innovations Technology Showcase inventors, investors and researchers were given a sneak peek into OSU's thriving technology ecosystem.

The Technology Showcase provided OSU an opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities, resources, and innovations to the world.

“Through this showcase, OSU is reaching out to the greater community to catalyze mutually beneficial collaborations,” said Zach Miles, Cowboy Innovations Executive Director.

Cowboy Innovations hosted the event on Nov 19, 2021 at the new OSU Discovery building in Oklahoma City.

“The Innovation District is excited to see these collaborative events between industry and academia happening within the District,” said Katy Boren, OKC Innovation District President & CEO. “Last week’s Tech Showcase was a great opportunity for members of our ecosystem to come hear about how their research can impact the innovation happening in Oklahoma City.”

Boren and Miles kicked off the event where wind and weather — always at the forefront of Oklahomans' minds — were the topic of many innovations.

“There was positive interaction between companies and the faculty and staff that presented,” said Russell Hopper, senior licensing associate. “The technology and innovations sector stepped forward with demonstrations and lectures highlighting some of OSU’s latest technological discoveries.”

Cowboy Innovations is excited about the future and the next Technology Showcase in 2022, Miles said.

“It is envisioned that these showcases will take place on a regular basis to increase the number of conversations and type partnerships OSU has.”
