Monday, February 22, 2021
On March 1, Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine will host Dr. Philip Dormitzer, vice president and chief scientific officer with Pfizer, for the Inaugural INTERACT Eminent Speaker Series.
Dormitzer will present “Application of new vaccine technologies to the COVID-19 pandemic.” He leads Pfizer’s viral vaccines research and development programs that include a prefusion F-based RSV vaccine, a cytomegalovirus vaccine and RNA-based COVID-19 and influenza vaccine collaborations with BioNtech.
In December 2020, the veterinary college launched the Institute for Translational and Emerging Research in Advanced Comparative Therapy or INTERACT to promote One Health research. INTERACT is a collaboration among OSU colleges and other stakeholders around the country who are engaged in cutting-edge clinical research utilizing devices, therapeutics and diagnostic platforms.
