OSU continues to rise in US News and World Report's Best Graduate Schools rankings

Several Oklahoma State University graduate degree programs appeared in the annual U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings, released April 25.

The College of Education and Human Sciences’ education graduate program ranked No. 70 — more than 20 spots higher than it finished in 2022. That puts OSU ahead of Big 12 Conference schools like the University of Oklahoma, West Virginia University, Kansas State University, Texas Christian University and Baylor University. The Spears School of Business’ part-time MBA program came in at No. 56 in the 2024 rankings out of 299 colleges and universities surveyed, ahead of OU, Texas Tech University and TCU.

OSU’s engineering programs in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) moved up four spots from last year, and CEAT ranked extremely well in nine categories of engineering.

In aerospace engineering, OSU moved up five spots to No. 50, ahead of OU. In agricultural engineering, OSU placed No. 27, good for third in the Big 12. In petroleum engineering, OSU remained at No. 18, and in industrial engineering OSU ranked No. 38. In chemical engineering, OSU moved up seven spots to No. 90, ahead of the University of Tulsa. In electrical engineering, OSU placed No. 122 and in environmental engineering went from No. 81 to No. 77.

OSU held steady in civil engineering at No. 77 and mechanical engineering rose a couple of spots from No. 89 to No. 87 to be second in the Big 12.  For more information on the engineering graduate programs, visit okla.st/30pFm0a

The College of Arts and Sciences also saw several of its graduate programs make the 2024 list, which are: chemistry at No. 119; computer science at No. 139; mathematics at No. 99; physics at No. 113; earth science at No.119.
