OSU launches Cowboy Family Portal to enhance family engagement and student success

Oklahoma State University is excited to announce the launch of the Cowboy Family Portal, a free, comprehensive platform designed to strengthen engagement and communication and serve as a dedicated hub for families of OSU students.

OSU recognizes the vital role families play in their student’s success, and the Cowboy Family Portal can be tailored to provide relevant information to enable families to best support their students. Resources and information found in the portal can be personalized to a student’s individual interests and unique circumstances, such as involvement in specific academic programs, campus life interests and more.

“The Cowboy Family Portal will strengthen our partnerships with families by empowering them to be actively informed during their student’s college experience,” said Dr. Amy Gazaway, assistant director of student and family engagement. “They can choose how they want to be informed and involved by selecting the type of information they want to receive and how often they want to receive it. They also will be able to update their own contact information at any time instead of relying on their student to do so. This will allow communication to be continuous when email addresses, phone numbers or other contact information changes.”

Account Setup and Registration

Families of current OSU students can expect to receive an email from OSU in the coming days with information, a link and instructions on setting up their personal Cowboy Family Portal account.

Families of incoming students for the academic year 2025-26 will learn more during their student’s Orientation and Enrollment session.
