Kyle Hilbert, speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives and State Representative for Oklahoma House District 29, will be the speaker at his alma mater’s spring 2025 commencement May 9-10.

Hilbert attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and a master's in business administration. While at OSU, he served as Student Government Association president.

"I am beyond honored to return to Oklahoma State University as this year’s commencement speaker,” Hilbert said. “OSU shaped who I am today, and I am thrilled to stand before the next generation of Cowboys as they step into their futures. There’s nothing quite like it, and I’m proud to be part of this incredible tradition. Go Pokes!"

During his eight years in the House, Hilbert has authored over 40 bills that have become law. He played a key role in crafting the DRIVE Act, modernizing the state's transportation funding. Additionally, he led efforts to update Oklahoma's ad valorem tax reimbursement system and championed the Redbud School Funding Act, ensuring a portion of marijuana tax revenue supports school districts with below-average local property taxes for infrastructure improvements.

Hilbert, 30, is the youngest House speaker in Oklahoma state history.
