Alumni Spotlight: Aviation Graduate Michael Parisi
Wednesday, October 14, 2015
As a high school student in Flower Mound, Texas, Michael Parisi knew he wanted to study aviation. He made visits to a number of universities that offered aviation programs, but one quickly rose to the top.
“When I stepped foot on the campus here at Oklahoma State, it was just home. I absolutely loved it here,” Parisi said.
Parisi couldn’t be happier about his decision to attend OSU. He was involved with the OSU Flying Aggies, serving as president, and also captained the 2014-15 Flight Team, which captured first place in the regional competition and earned a berth to nationals.
“If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely do the same thing,” Parisi says of his time at Oklahoma State. “The people are phenomenal, the campus is beautiful and the curriculum is top notch.”
After an incredible four years in Stillwater, Parisi graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Administration and Operations, options in professional pilot and aviation management, and has now landed a job with Textron Aviation, where he will serve as an instructor and demonstration pilot. Textron is the parent company for Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker. There, he will join 2012 Oklahoma State graduate Jared Jacobs.
