Croff, Hubach Elected to American Public Health Association Leadership

Two College of Education faculty members have been elected to the American Public Health Association (APHA) leadership for the next two years. Randy Hubach and Julie Croff, faculty in the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology, will lead the HIV/AIDS section beginning this school year.
Hubach, who will serve as chair-elect for 2015-16 and then as chair for the 2016-2017 year, is the director of OSU’s Sexual Health Research Lab and is an assistant professor. Hubach holds a Ph.D. in Health Behavior from Indiana University’s School of Public Health. He is an active scholar with research interests in LGBT population health and sexuality-related health disparities.
Croff was elected the section’s secretary for 2015-16. She is the director of the OSU Master of Public Health program and is also an assistant professor. Her research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of alcohol and other drug use, particularly among underserved populations. She received her Ph.D. in Public Health, with an emphasis in Health Behavior from the joint doctoral program between the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University.
