Sue Jacobs Honored by Society of Counseling Psychology

Sue Jacobs, College of Education professor in counseling psychology, was awarded the Elder Recognition Award from the Society of Counseling Psychology, Division 17 of the American Psychological Association. The award is given for distinguished contributions, substantive commitment and long-standing excellence and leadership in the field.

Jacobs was recognized with a certificate and pin during a special ceremony of the 2015 APA Annual Convention.

Jacobs is the Ledbetter Lemon Counseling Psychology Diversity Professor and director of the OSU Preparing Future Faculty in Psychology. She serves as team leader of the OSU Difficult Dialogues Program, co-director of the Oklahoma Network for the Teaching of Psychology and faculty affiliate for OSU’s Gender and Women’s Studies Program.
