Hospitality Days set for February 19-20

The Oklahoma State University School of Hospitality and Tourism will hosts its 62nd annual Hospitality Days February 19-20, 2018, in the north wing of the Human Sciences Building. In addition to a career fair and connectional opportunities for students and hospitality professionals, HelmsBriscoe founder and CEO Roger Helms, an OSU alumnus, will give the keynote address during the conference.
Since 1956, OSU Hospitality and Tourism students have planned, organized, and implemented the conference from the beginning to end. The Hospitality Days Committee coordinates the event, including working with OSU Career Services to put on the career fair that welcomes recruiters from local, national and international companies in search of new employees and interns to campus. The career fair on February 20 is open any registered student. Registration is accepted online or onsite and professional dress is required to attend.
Helms will speak on Monday, February 19, at 1 p.m. in Jorns Hall. Helms’ company, HelmsBriscoe, is the highest volume purchaser in the meetings and event industry and boasts the most expansive and experienced network in the market with 1,300 Associates operating in more than 55 countries.
Keith Ashburn (HTM ’80) will receive the OSU School of Hospitality and Tourism’s Hall of Fame Award during Hospitality Days. This award is given to a person that has been a member of or supported the hospitality industry for at least 20 years, exemplifying superior business ethics and has made a significant contribution to improve his community, hospitality education and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at OSU. Ashburn, of Dallas, is the Chief Operating Officer for 12 Oaks Senior Living.
