Osteen recognized with Outstanding Alumna Award

Oklahoma State University Human Development and Family Science department head Sissy Osteen, Ph.D., was recently honored with the Human Environmental Sciences Outstanding Alumna by the University of Arkansas Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.
Osteen is an associate professor and has led the Department of Human Development and Family Science since August 2016. Her research focuses on how individuals and families make decisions that impact their resources and how education can influence their choices. Her professional interests and expertise also include homebuyer education, credit reporting and scoring, money management, and financial literacy. She is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Osteen earned a B.S. in home economics and M.S. in clothing at textiles at the University of Arkansas. She also holds an Ed.S. in counselor education from the University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. in human environmental sciences from OSU.
