TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 10, 2011) – NORDAM has named Jeff Chalupa as general manager of domestic operations for the aerospace firm’s Transparency division.

In his new role, he oversees engineering, production, operations, supply chain and purchasing, maintenance, quality, and customer program management, with an emphasis on leading growth, development and technology enhancement.

Chalupa joined NORDAM in 2007 in a management capacity and has held positions of increasing leadership since that time, most recently serving as senior director of global engineering and quality for the company’s Repair division, also in Tulsa.

His career has spanned posts as a site operations and Six Sigma Black Belt leader for Honeywell and as a principle engineer with Pratt & Whitney.

Headquartered in Tulsa, and employing more than 2,000 people across nine facilities on three continents, NORDAM is one of the world’s largest independently owned aerospace companies.

The firm designs, certifies and manufactures integrated propulsion systems, nacelles and thrust reversers for business jets; builds composite aircraft structures, interior shells, custom cabinetry and radomes; and manufactures aircraft transparencies, such as cabin windows, wing-tip lenses and simulator screens.

NORDAM also is a major third-party provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the military, commercial airline and air freight markets.
