School of Industrial Engineering and Management alum named Distinguished New Engineer

(STILLWATER, Okla., November 25, 2013) – Lauren M. Wolf, supplier program manager at Boeing and 2009 industrial engineering and management graduate from Oklahoma State, was awarded the Distinguished New Engineer award by the Society of Women Engineers.
“I am overwhelmed and extremely honored to have the society recognize my work and dedication to the STEM environment. I have found so much joy and purpose in building up membership in sections and helping girls realize their potentials — that they too can be innovators, scientists and change the world,” said Wolf of the award.
Each year, the Society of Women Engineers may award up to 10 candidates that demonstrates outstanding technical performance, as well as leadership in professional organizations and the community. Wolf was presented the award at the Society of Women Engineers national conference on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles. She has previously been recognized as the Most Promising Engineer for the American Indian Science and Engineering Society in 2012.
