The most recent $390,593 OkAT grant (includes a 5% cost share) was funded in August 2015 and will provide smoke alarms, alert devices and home fire and life safety education for people who are deaf or have hearing loss; are blind or have low vision; and people who use mobility devices such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. The grant will install the equipment in the homes of people who complete an application and qualify for the program. There is funding for 650 homes.
