Vignesh Rajamani, visiting assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), was featured in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) magazine for his numerous Distinguished Lecturers (DL) presentations worldwide.
Rajamani received his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering at the University of Madras, India. He continued his studies of Electrical Engineering at OSU, where he received his master’s and doctorate degrees.
His research concentrates on electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), focusing on the development of effective solutions to modern electromagnetic environment effects (E3) problems for systems and components. The research team at OSU are considered the experts in this domain, especially in developing innovative test techniques and new theories derived from reverberation chamber and anechoic chamber measurements to characterize distributed electromagnetic fields in complex cavities and enclosures where critical electrical and electronic systems are installed.
Rajamani served the EMC Society as a DL for the term 2013-2014. During the EMC Society's DL Program, he delivered lectures on reverberation chamber test methodologies for chapters around the world. He is currently a Chair of Technical Committee 9 on “Computational Electromagnetics” as well as the Secretary of Special Committee 6 on “Unmanned Aircraft Systems EMC” for EMC Society. In addition, he serves the Vice President of Member Services as the Sister Society Coordinator.
