IFSTA produces leading education app

The International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) produced mobile app ‘Essentials 6th Exam Prep Plus’ recently set new sales records for itself, reaching 23rd in the Apple App Store US-Education division on Nov. 1 and 22nd in the Google Play App Store US-Education division on April 28 in terms of total sales.
The app is designed to serve as an on-the-go study platform to help fire service professionals prepare for their industry certification exams, Fire I and Fire II. It features almost 1,500 questions covering a broad range of topics taken directly from all 24 chapters in the industry standard certification manual, the Essentials of Fire Fighting 6th Edition Manual which is also produced and designed by IFSTA.
“Within two weeks of using this app, I was scoring over 90% in each of the 24 chapters,” Google Play reviewer Greg Hoffman says of the app, and he is not alone. Countless other satisfied fire service professionals have left glowing reviews and ratings for the mobile learning platform driving it to a 4.6 out of 5 review rating on the Google Play store and a 5 out of 5 review rating on the Apple App store.
IFSTA, who serves to foster the development and validation of training materials for the fire service and related areas, has a suite of similar training apps which cover specific topics. These include areas ranging from fire inspection code to aircraft rescue with a total of 15 apps available through the Apple App store and nine available through the Google Play store.
