Keith Good Named TAPPI Fellow for 2016

ATLANTA, Ga., August 12, 2016 – James “Keith” Good has been named a TAPPI Fellow for 2016. Fellow is an honorary title given to individuals who have made extraordinary technical or service contributions to the industry and/or the Association. Good is professor and Noble Foundation Chair at Oklahoma State University. The 2016 Fellows were honored at the TAPPI Fellows luncheon held at PaperCon 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Keith attended Oklahoma State University and holds a B.S., Master's and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He’s been a national TAPPI member since 1990.

“Keith Good’s work as one of the industry’s recognized experts in the handling of thin materials or webs of paper, films, foils and laminates has made a significant contribution to the advancement of both TAPPI and the paper industry,” said Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. “In more than 25 years of service to TAPPI he’s demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication in a wide range of roles. His work as an educator and researcher, including his work as an author, has made major contributions to the science of web handling. He’s an outstanding choice for the Fellows Award.”

Good has been at Oklahoma State University for 35 years and he’s also associate head of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and director of the Web Handling Research Center. He co-authored a TAPPI book on winding in 2008.
