Wheeler receives OSU Distinguished Service Award

Monday, March 14, 2016

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 14, 2016) – The OSU Staff Advisory Council presented Kristi Wheeler, manager of engineering distance education in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, with the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) at the Staff Development Day Luncheon on Wednesday, March 2.

Nathan Cragun, coordinator of outreach education, nominated Wheeler for the award. Wheeler says she was very surprised but also very honored to be selected as a recipient of the DSA.

“My team in engineering distance education is every bit as deserving of this recognition as I am,” says Wheeler. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. OSU and CEAT has provided me ample opportunity for professional growth, and for that I will always be grateful.”

About the Distinguished Service Award:

The Staff Advisory Distinguished Service Award is a way to appreciate staff members for their merits at OSU.  This award allows other staff members to nominate someone who goes beyond the call of duty, enhances ones career and person path and represents OSU in a positive aspect.  The nominating process begins in early fall with an email to staff members asking for nominations.
