OSU chemical engineering teams compete at regional ChemE Car competition

(STILLWATER, Okla., April 11, 2017) – Two teams from the previous ChemE Car competition competed at the regional competition in Tulsa, OK.
Team ABS(0), or Absolute Zero, and team Orange Juice faced competitors from Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.

Josh Baker – Choctaw, OK
John Hayes – Broken Arrow, OK
Holly Palmer – Cashion, OK
Nathan Shellady – Sapulpa, OK
Sara Wilson – Owasso, OK
Team ABS(0) or Absolute Zero
Musaad Al-Jafari – Saudi Arabia
Luke Bower – Claremore, OK
Joshua Sallee – Broken Arrow, OK
Adam Summers – Ponca City, OK
The regional competition also consisted of a car and poster component. Team ABS(0) placed third in the car component. Their car traveled 21.1 meters out of target distance of 22 meters.
Team ABS(0) will go on to compete at the national competition in October.
Sundar Madihally, associate chemical engineering professor, traveled with the teams to oversee the competition.
