OSU‘s College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology hosts Boy Scout Merit Badge University

(STILLWATER, Okla., March 2, 2017) – The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology recently hosted the Boy Scout Merit Badge University in the new engineering south Annex.

In a university-wide partnership, CEAT Dean Paul Tikalsky teamed up with clinical assistant professor Jim Martin from the Spears School of Business and associate professor Dan Shoup from the College of Arts and Sciences to instruct the scouts and award badges.

Twenty boy scouts from Stillwater Troop 802 received badges in engineering, emergency preparedness, family and citizenship in the world.

OSU’s Fire Service Training led the emergency preparedness instruction with help from Rob Hill, Stillwater director of emergency services.

“Stillwater’s strong scouting tradition and its partnership with OSU helps prepare young people for success in life,” says Tikalsky. “We are proud to be Cowboys.”
