Sunday, August 26, 2018

International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University are pleased to announce the promotion of Jillian Conaghan as IFSAC’s new manager.

Conaghan started her career in CEAT as an administrative support specialist for CEAT Professional Development in 2010.  In 2013 she was promoted to assistant coordinator for CEAT Professional Development and IFSAC.  In 2016 she was once again promoted as IFSAC’s program coordinator.  This month, it was announced she will serve as IFSAC’s manager.

IFSAC is housed within CEAT and operates as an extension unit of the college. IFSAC is widely known for delivering high quality accreditation for fire-related degree programs and fire service certification programs.  IFSAC is a peer-driven, professional organization dedicated to providing quality service, maintaining its role as a leader in the fire and emergency services community, and continuing to provide new and innovative services to its membership.

“Jillian is a proven leader and is well-respected by the members of IFSAC.  In her time as a coordinator, she has improved IFSAC’s processes and improved the quality of customer service” said Ed Kirtley, assistant dean for CEAT.  “I believe Jillian is going to continue to make a positive difference in IFSAC.  She has a clear understanding of what is needed to serve our members and I’m excited that she is part of our management team in Engineering Extension”.

“I have worked my way up the ladder in CEAT Professional Development wearing many hats.   I’m really excited for this opportunity to serve IFSAC in this capacity” said Conaghan.  “I’m excited about the opportunity to be involved in leading IFSAC in its new direction and I’m looking forward to improving and growing the organization”.
