Moh'd Bilbeisi Wins Again

Moh’d Bilbeisi, professor of architecture at Oklahoma State University, has been awarded the William Kirby Lockard Prize for his work submitted in the 2018 Juried Design Communication Exhibition. This is the top prize in recognition of Excellence in Design Communication awarded by the Design Communication Association at the 2018 DCA Biennial Conference at Cornell University on Oct. 9.
Bilbeisi is a licensed architect, artist, author and eminent professor of architecture at Oklahoma State University’s School of Architecture. He teaches design studio as an experiential and poetic art form that is compliant with environmental and technical considerations. In addition, he lectures on graphics and theory of representation as well as the history and theory of Islamic architecture.
Bilbeisi is a seasoned traveler and has taught, lectured and conducted workshops on graphics nationally and internationally. He also has taught at the Middle East Technical University in Turkey and the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
Bilbeisi’s students have placed in 61 national and international competitions.
The DCA is an international professional society composed of graphics/design teachers from schools of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, graphic design and product design.
