OSU Ranked Number 5 Best Online Master's in Engineering

Oklahoma State University has been ranked number five among the 25 best online master's degree programs in engineering for 2018 by Best College Reviews. The ranking was published on the organization's website in March.

This ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics' College Navigator database. From among accredited schools offering an online master's degree in engineering, the top 25 programs were ranked using the following methodology:

- U.S. News and World Report Recognition as a Top Online School for Master's Engineering Programs

- Customization Options

- "Wow" Factor

Established in 1890, Oklahoma State University is one of the nation's most comprehensive land-grant university systems. Each year, more than 37,000 students attend OSU at one of five campus locations and online. OSU's main campus is located about 60 miles from both Oklahoma City and Tulsa in the city of Stillwater.

Oklahoma State offers four distinct master's in engineering online programs through its College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT): an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN), an M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management (ETM), an M.S. in Engineering Technology: Fire Safety and Explosion Protection, and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM). Sample courses comprising the curriculum for these programs include titles like Engineering Design with CAD, Introduction to Microcomputer Programming, Cost Control and Analysis for Engineering and Technology Professionals, and Principles of Industrial and Process Safety. Students can opt to complete the coursework for their master's in engineering online programs either synchronously or asynchronously.
