Professor Wang Named Subject Editor for Leading Scholarly Journal

Recognized for the critical research he’s achieved in process safety and fire protection engineering, Dr. Qingsheng Wang has been appointed subject editor of the Process Safety and Environmental Protection (PSEP), Elsevier publication of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK) and the official journal of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering: Part B.

PSEP is one of the most prestigious journals in the safety and environment areas with an Impact Factor of 3.441. It is the principal international journal for publication of high quality, original papers in the branches of engineering concerned with the safety of industrial processes and the protection of the environment.

Dr. Wang is Holder of the Dale F. Janes Endowed Professorship, an associate professor of fire protection & safety engineering and chemical engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU). He has worked at OSU since 2010. His areas of expertise include process safety, fire protection, loss prevention, and safety engineering. As subject editor, Dr. Wang will help oversee the peer review process for submitted manuscripts. He will select referees, evaluate their review reports, and decide which manuscript move toward eventual publication.
