Caleb Eyster, a mechanical and aerospace engineering major from Ponca City, Oklahoma, has been selected as an Oklahoma State University 2019-2020 Outstanding Senior by the OSU Alumni Association.

The Outstanding Seniors award recognizes seniors who show excellence through academic achievement; campus and community involvement; academic, athletic or extracurricular honors or awards; scholarships and work ethic during their time at OSU.

While at OSU, Eyster served as executive director of the OSU Homecoming Committee, chief engineer of Speedfest X, vice president of relations for the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) Student Council, cheap lunch committee head for CEAT Student Council, and Harvest Carnival executive for OSU Homecoming Steering Committee.  His community involvement includes volunteering at the Ponca City Junior Baseball Blake Shepard Memorial Tournament, Our Daily Bread Food & Resource Center and the Harvest II Food Drive. He also served as a Ponca City Wildcat AA Baseball Assistant Coach and participated in other miscellaneous food drive opportunities through the CEAT Scholars.

Eyster was also named a Senior of Significance Mortar Board Top 20 Freshman, was listed on the President’s Honor Roll, and was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society and CEAT Scholars Program.

“Oklahoma State University opened my eyes to how impactful a single person can be, and it provided me with multiple platforms in which to make me successful in my future career,” Eyster said.

After graduation, Eyster plans to begin his career in the aerospace industry.

Eyster is one of 16 students selected for the 2019-2020 Outstanding Senior award. The OSU Alumni Association Student Awards and Selection Committee selected the 16 winners after meeting with the 41 Seniors of Significance selected in the fall of 2019 and reviewing their applications.
