The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University has set a new record. CEAT has recorded $26,080,250 in awards in the first quarter of the 2023 fiscal year. The previous record for quarterly awards was almost $15 million, set in the first quarter of the 2022 fiscal year.
“Our college’s faculty is growing,” said Jamie Westmoreland, the CEAT assistant director of sponsored programs. “Our faculty members, as a whole, are competing for larger, more collaborative funding opportunities and are being selected as recipients for those opportunities. It’s very exciting. We have seen consistent growth in research awards over the last five years. I can say that this year, we will exceed any amount in awards that CEAT has ever received.”
The record emphasizes the amazing research being done by CEAT faculty members and the tireless efforts of the CEAT research staff to aid in nearly every facet of the grant proposal and award processes.
“They may not see it, but when they receive an award we celebrate too,” Westmoreland said. “Our faculty’s successes are our successes.”
