Fourth-year medical student awarded rotation at Johns Hopkins

Jolee Suddock, a fourth-year medical student, was recently awarded a one-month rotation in pathology at the renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, widely considered the leading pathology department in the world.

During the rotation, Suddock had the opportunity to spend time in several subspecialties, including neuropathology, microbiology and the medical examiner’s office. In addition, the rotation has provided laboratory experience.

The new Johns Hopkins pathology rotation is open to underrepresented minority medical students and residents and enables students to observe and participate in daily diagnostic, research and teaching activities of the department. Johns Hopkins provides financial resources including travel expenses and room and board.
