Tandy Medical Academic Building construction on track, roof work to begin

Thursday, January 28, 2016

Construction is continuing on the 84,000-square-foot A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Medical Academic Building at OSU-CHS.

“We are pleased with how smoothly the construction work is progressing,” said Angelyn Holmes, assistant director for facilities management. “We are well on our way to accomplishing our goal to complete construction on time and within budget.”

The Tandy Medical Academic Building, which will include an adjoining parking garage, has an anticipated completion date in 2017.

More than 30 percent of the project has been completed, including all pier support installation. Roof work is anticipated to begin in about a month.

“We are working closely with multiple outside vendors and agencies to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule,” Holmes said. “In addition, we are continuing to be good stewards of our resources and we are keeping the mission of our land grand institution at the forefront throughout the construction process.”
