OSUIT Marketing team earns eight awards at state communications competition

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology's marketing and communications team captured eight awards at the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association's annual conference and awards banquet, held July 14 at Tulsa's Hard Rock Casino.

The three-person OSUIT team earned recognition across multiple categories, competing against hundreds of entries from colleges and universities throughout Oklahoma. The strong showing highlights the quality and creativity of OSUIT's marketing efforts in telling the story of the campus and its students.

Nichols' photography awards showcase OSUIT's campus at its finest, giving audiences an inside look at what the institute is all about. The team's Excellence in Campus Experience and Student Engagement award recognized the "Merch Drop" series, where the team surprises students with branded merchandise handouts throughout the semester.

"These awards validate what we see every day: OSUIT has amazing stories to tell about students preparing for high-demand careers, and we're proud our work helps share that message statewide," said Kerri Brownfield, assistant director of marketing and communications.

In addition, Gammon will join OCPRA's board of directors for fiscal year 2026.

OCPRA serves communications professionals at colleges, universities and other educational institutions across the state.
